Lyric

To redeem myself from my not-so-creative posts, I have a poem.  It's a mash-up of two songs.  I've written other poems recently, but they mostly end up being rants about my current frustration in my professional endeavors.  Anyway, to get away from that I limited myself to only the words of others.  I took two songs and alternated lyrics.
So, sort of creative.

Can anybody find me
I screamed aloud
I get up I die a little
You left me in the dark
At the end I take
The stars, the moon
But I just can't get no relief
I knew that some how
I'm okay, I'm alright
I'm always in this twilight
I get down on my knees
I could find my way back
I just gotta get out of  this prison cell
In the shadow of your heart
Everyday I try
I try to find the sound
And I start to pray
No dawn, no day
They say I'm going crazy
A fallen star.
Can anybody find me
Oh
Somebody to love?

  1. It's hard for me to judge how well these songs mesh because I know "Somebody to Love" but not the other one.

It's interesting, though, the way this second song really makes the overall tone of the poem much more serious. I realize that the lyrics of "Somebody to Love" are pretty dark anyway, when you take them out of context.

Also, I would be extremely open to hearing angry Allya work poetry. Just sayin.

  2. Oh dear. I don't believe I know either song. T^T.

Also, along with Cerasi, I, too, would love to read angry Allya work poetry. :D
