A Year in Art

Saw this on DeviantArt, and I really like some of these.

Cerasi and Ada, I know you will appreciate one in particular.. because that one kind of made me click the link  :)  (hint: the one with three beloved characters...)

  1. There really is some amazing art there. And yes Allya, I did like that one in particular, lol.

But the photographs of the church during the storm and the other church (at least I think it's a church, it could be a temple or a mosque) after the earthquake, are both quite arresting.

I'm always amazing by how good some of the artists are on deviantart. (The Amy Winehouse and English riots are particularly lovely. I also kind of liked the one of Kim Jong-il just because it was so bizarre. I don't really know what's going on in it, though).

The effing Nyan cat annoys me though. Because first of all, I object to people talking about memes as if they are real news.

And secondly, if you were going to pick something memey it should CLEARLY be either "Friday" or the Charlie Sheen shit, even though I object to them both.

  2. Don't you just love DA?

Man, Nyan cat was so ridiculously popular and I've no idea why. It's just a cat-poptart pooping rainbows. What's so special about that?

I especially loved that picture of South Sudan becoming independent from Sudan. It's not the style of the art, but the concept. Lovely.
